Andrew was born in Louisiana but grew up for most of his life in the Hattiesburg, Mississippi area. After looking at several different careers, Andrew decided to pursue medicine. He stayed home in Hattiesburg and studied at William Carey University for both undergraduate and medical school. After undergoing his clinical rotation time both in Hattiesburg and at the Mississippi Gulf Coast, it became apparent that he had a passion for children's healthcare. He completed his residency training in Jackson, Mississippi at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. During training, he became interested in Pediatric Nephrology due to the underserved nature of the population and the continuity working with the families.
In his free time, Andrew can be found cheering on the LSU Tigers and exploring the outdoors. He looks forward to visiting the many parks and green spaces throughout Central Tennessee.

Anna Brameli was raised in Haifa, Israel. She pursued her education at Ben Gurion University of Negev Faculty of Health Sciences, where she completed an integrated college and medical school curriculum. Following her graduation, Anna completed her pediatric residency at Schneider Children's Medical Center in Petach Tikvah.
Throughout her residency, Anna developed a keen interest in pediatric immunology and allergy, which inspired her to join the Allergy and Immunology fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, she has been actively engaged in research, lecturing, and mentoring students.
Outside of her medical career, Anna is married to Shy, and they have three daughters: Ella, Mika, and Tamara. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and participating in outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and swimming.
Anna is thrilled to be continuing to a Pediatric Infectious Diseases fellowship, as it completes her perspective on both drug allergy to antibiotics and understanding infections in immunodeficient children.

Layana is a Palestinian-Jordanian who grew up in Amman, Jordan. She obtained her medicine degree from the University of Jordan in 2019. Amman, home to a large refugee population and many impoverished families, is where she found her passion for pediatrics and her interest in public and global health. She was lucky enough to work with and help these communities, which fueled her dedication to her field.
Layana first came to Vanderbilt during an away rotation in medical school and is now super excited to be back in Nashville to work at the Children's Hospital as a pediatric pulmonology fellow after finishing her pediatrics residency in Massachusetts. She's looking forward to exploring her research and career goals with the team at Vanderbilt.
When she's not working, Layana loves hiking, playing her ukulele, snuggling with her cat, and hosting board game nights with her friends.
