Vanderbilt Child Health Poll

The Department of Pediatrics and the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt University Medical Center are committed to improving the health and wellbeing of children, adolescents, and their families throughout Tennessee. One way we accomplish this goal is through connecting with the public to better understand the concerns of Tennessee parents about the health of their children and the health care services they receive. To this end, we have conducted an annual child health poll of Tennessee parents in collaboration with Ipsos Public Affairs (Ipsos) since 2019.

Each year, we survey approximately 1,000 parents of children <18 years of age who reside in Tennessee. Topics are focused entirely on issues that influence child health and wellbeing, and results are weighted to be representative of parents of children (0-17 years) across the entire state. The poll is conducted by our partner, Ipsos, a worldwide survey research organization, to ensure rigor and reliability in our approach.
