Dr. Massa’s primary research focus has been investigating patient perceptions of genetic testing for the evaluation of pediatric obesity to understand how this impacts patient health care behaviors and, ultimately, patient care outcomes. In addition, Dr. Massa also serves as the Primary Investigator for Vanderbilt for the Clinical Adolescent PCOS Multi-site Database (CALICO) Project. This study was created to determine the prevalence and incidence of comorbidities in girls with PCOS and to determine risk factors for their development in this population, to identify potential targets for early prevention.
