Kyle Langford, MD

PGY 3

Medical School: Vanderbilt University
College: Vanderbilt University
Hometown: Zionsville, Indiana

Kyle is a native of the great state of Indiana, but still has mixed feelings about being identified by the term “hoosier” (Yes, Hoosiers is a great movie. Yes, he’s proud of his roots. But he is a life-long Purdue fan, so why does he have to be associated with his rival’s mascot?). Kyle moved to Nashville in 2013 to study Biomedical Engineering at Vanderbilt (Go Dores!). After earning his bachelor’s degree, he attended the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and spent four more years in the Honky Tonk capital of the world (but let’s be honest, he stayed so that he could keep attending Vanderbilt sporting events). After all of that time in Nashville, Kyle and his wife, Shelby, decided that it had become their second home and they just couldn’t bear the thought of leaving behind their friends, church family, and mentors - so they went for the hat trick! Kyle is overjoyed to become a Triple Dore and join the Vanderbilt Pediatrics Family. His hobbies include playing golf (although not particularly well most of the time), playing / watching / talking about sports (as if that wasn’t already clear), playing board / card games (even though Shelby always seems to win), and playing guitar or piano. He is not exactly sure what direction his career will go from here, but he is excited to serve his patients and their families along the way.
