Dr. Esbenshade is a Pediatric Neuro-oncologist and Professor of Pediatrics. His research focuses on Cancer Control, Supportive Care, Central Nervous System Malignancy, and Cancer Survivorship. Areas of active investigation include risk prediction modeling and establishing evidence-based data for the treatment of infectious disease complications during pediatric cancer for which he has a current multi-institution prospective validation study. He is also working on studies to improve the treatment of obesity and the metabolic syndrome in cancer survivors, validating a comprehensive risk score that summarizes a cancer survivors' co-morbidities, as well as, clinical trials that focus on targeted therapy for CNS tumors. Dr. Esbenshade is a member of the Children's Oncology Group (COG) and is the Vice Chair of the COG Young Investigators Committee and Vice Chair of the COG Cancer Control and Supportive Care Committee. He also serves on the CNS committee and is on the national study committees of several COG trials. He is a member of the Society for Pediatric Research and serves as the Secretary of SIOP North America.

Dr. Dulek is medical director of the Peter F. Wright Immunocompromised Host Infectious Diseases Service at Vanderbilt Children's which provides consultative care to pediatric transplant, oncology, immunology, inflammatory bowel disease, and rheumatology patients. He contributes to medical education as the course director for the 'Clinically Applied Immunology' Integrated Science Course for 3rd and 4th year medical students at Vanderbilt. Dr. Dulek's research is focused on multicenter, collaborative studies of the epidemiology, treatment, and diagnosis of infections in transplant patients. In addition, he has a specific interest in immunogenetic prediction and stratification of infection risk in immunocompromised patients.

Dr. Tom Doub joined Vanderbilt Health Center for Patient and Professional Advocacy (CPPA) after more than 20 years working to integrate research and practice across a variety of behavioral health leadership positions, and is excited to apply those lessons to CPPA’s mission.

Prior to joining CPPA in 2019, he served as Chief Clinical Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at American Addiction Centers (AAC), where he was responsible for national oversight of clinical, quality, and compliance programs for one of the nation’s largest providers of addiction treatment. Previously, he was Chief Executive Officer of Centerstone Research Institute (CRI), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving healthcare through research and information technology. Dr. Doub joined Centerstone as Vice President of Research in 2003. He was named Chief Operating Officer of CRI in 2008 and appointed CEO in 2011. Under Dr. Doub’s leadership, CRI established a unique blend of research, technology and evaluation services, pursuing a vision where all individuals and families facing behavioral health disorders receive exceptional care. The organization was awarded more than $150 million in grant funding, established influential partnerships with prominent universities and researchers across the nation and was involved in more than 150 groundbreaking studies. CRI innovators built tools such as Enlighten Analytics, an innovative analytics platform that transforms operational and clinical data into functional, insightful information to help improve operations, reduce costs and enhance patient care.

Dr. Doub and CRI’s team of more than 100 experienced researchers, analysts, statisticians and technology professionals received broad recognition for their successful and impactful integration of research and technology, including being featured in IBM’s Smarter Planet Leadership Series, winning the Data Warehousing Institute’s Best Practices Award in 2010, SAMHSA’s Science and Service Award and the National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare’s Innovation Award. Dr. Doub also has been honored as a Healthcare Hero by the Nashville Business Journal. Dr. Doub is regularly invited to share his expertise with diverse groups including IBM’s Information-On-Demand conference, and other national meetings.

Dr. Doub received his Ph.D. in both Clinical and Quantitative Psychology from Vanderbilt University. He serves as a thought leader in behavioral health and technology throughout a number of social media platforms, sharing industry perspective, breakthroughs, and innovations in behavioral health and technology.

Dr. Stacy Dorris’ research focuses on food allergies. Vanderbilt’s Food Allergy Program is a Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE) Center of Excellence. As director of the Food Allergy Program, she manages a long-term national registry of fatal food reactions and is the principal investigator for a study with DBV involving the peanut patch in allergic children age 1-3 years old.
