Adam grew up in Franklin, TN just south of Nashville. He went up to Wisconsin for college where he completed his undergraduate degree in Biology. After graduating, he obtained his EMT license and worked in the ED at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. He then moved out to Memphis for medical school at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. After obtaining his medical degree, he moved to Cincinnati to complete his pediatric residency. While there, he became involved in research on common respiratory viruses in children.
When not in the hospital, Adam likes to spend time with his wife and daughter, Allene and Lyra, going to the zoo, parks, breweries, and restaurants. He is excited to be back in Tennessee for fellowship, closer to family and Predators games.

Kim was born in Chesapeake, VA but has deeper roots in Nigeria. She found her interest in medicine and infectious disease after visiting family abroad. Early on, she equated treating infectious diseases to making people feel better and wanted to be a part of the process. She attended James Madison University where she received her B.S. in Biology and then heading off to the University of Louisville SOM on a scholarship. It was here that her interest in infectious disease intensified and the opportunities to serve international populations were made apparent. She completed her combined internal medicine-pediatrics residency in Greenville, SC. Here, her passion for improving the quality of healthcare in underserved populations shone through. She is excited to continue her MedPeds ID training here in Nashville with the intention to continue to serve global and other underserved populations with an interest in HIV care.
