Mallory was raised in Waterford, Connecticut and attended the University of Connecticut where she studied violin. She first considered a career in medicine when she took anatomy and physiology her senior year in high school and her teacher encouraged her to consider developing her natural curiosity and aptitude for science. After getting more exposure to the clinical environment through her volunteer work in the Philippines and San Antonio, Texas, she was ready to commit to medicine as a career. She moved to Louisville, Kentucky to complete the post-baccalaureate pre-med program where she fell in love with the people and the city and chose to continue on for Medical School there. Mallory has enjoyed visiting the areas beautiful parks and getting to know her community in South Nashville. This year, she looks forward to developing her skills in general neurology and learning more about various subspecialities within the field.
