Deep was born in India and moved to Texas when he was very young, spending most of his childhood in Austin, Texas. He decided to stick around for his undergraduate education, attending the University of Texas. He first became interested in neuroscience there and went to Baylor for medical school intending to specialize in neurology. He discovered a passion for pediatrics as well in medical school, and is now very excited to be starting child neurology residency at Vanderbilt. In his free time, he enjoys following NBA basketball (big fan of the Phoenix Suns), cooking, and reading.
