Michael grew up in Washington, D.C. After obtaining his medical degree at the University of Virginia, he started his pediatric residency in the U.S. Navy at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. During his time as a Naval Medical Officer, he spent two years with the U.S. Marines and two years as a general pediatrician in Okinawa, Japan.

Michael’s interests are excellent clinical practice, medical simulation and medical education. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading and the outdoors.
