Academic General Pediatrics Educational Conferences

Department of Pediatrics Research Conference is held Mondays at noon nine months per year. Original research and works-in-progress are formally presented by invited faculty from Vanderbilt and other institutions.

Pediatric Grand Rounds is held Tuesdays at noon nine months per year. Faculty from Vanderbilt and other institutions are invited to present on a topic of their choosing related to child health.

Center for Health Services Research Work in Progress (WIP) sessions are held on Tuesdays at noon. WIP sessions provide opportunities for fellows and junior faculty to present research in progress and gain valuable feedback on their work. These weekly sessions are well-attended by an interdisciplinary group of trainees and faculty. Thus, they also provide participants with exposure to other researchers at Vanderbilt and the VA, and facilitate networking with colleagues who have similar or complementary interests.

Center for Clinical Quality and Implementation Research Scholarly Series is held on Fridays at noon. The sessions are designed to be a platform for dissemination and scholarly discussion of cutting-edge methods, innovative research initiatives, and current literature related to implementation science.

Edge for Scholars Seminars are held at various times throughout the year. Please refer to the series schedule for additional information. These seminars are for MD and PhD investigators completing training and establishing their careers. Topics include grant writing, presentation skills, mentoring, career timeline, and getting a job in academia.
