Dr. Stephanie Patterson is a pediatric critical care physician at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Core Faculty in the Center for Biomedical Ethics and Society. Her work focuses on advancing food as medicine, addressing nutrition insecurity, and improving pediatric health by integrating food access into healthcare delivery. She leads health system initiatives that connect patients and families to nutrition resources and partners with local farms and community organizations to build sustainable, community-centered food systems. Through her work, she aims to move healthcare upstream addressing the root causes of disease to support healthier children and communities.
