Research Information

Dr. Rajaraman is interested in the assessment, treatment, and prevention of dangerous behavior exhibited by individuals with intellectual, developmental, and emotional differences.  Specifically, he works to develop and refine compassionate, trauma-informed, skill-based approaches to assessment and intervention.  Achieving compassion involves explicit collaboration with those receiving care across all elements of treatment planning and service provision to ensure sufficient consideration of their needs, preferences, and sensitivities.  His research and clinical aims are intimately connected to the goal of providing safe, dignifying, yet highly effective behavior-analytic services to underrepresented individuals in underserved communities.
