Dr. Derek Armstrong completed his Pediatrics residency at Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He earned his M.D. from the Frank H. Netter M.D. School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University and is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego with a B.S. degree in Human Biology.

During medical school, Dr. Armstrong was selected for the NIDDK Vanderbilt Medical Student Research & Training program where he pursued his research interests in obesity. As he continues to pursue his academic interests in fellowship, he has been honored with a T32 Training Grant Award. Dr. Armstrong is a prior soccer coach and long-time player. His other interests outside of medicine include hiking, cooking, and photography.
