Taylor was born in the small town of Mocksville, North Carolina where she lived until moving to Charlottesville for college at the University of Virginia. She stayed in Virginia for medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School and then moved back to North Carolina for pediatric residency in Charlotte at Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital.
Her primary research interest is health equity. Her fellowship research project is titled "Evaluating Wait Time Differences in the Pediatric Emergency Department Based on Patient's Primary Spoken Language."
In her free time, she enjoys running, playing sand volleyball, trying new restaurants, and spending time outdoors. She loves all things UVA sports related (Go Hoos!) and attending sporting events in Nashville. Her research interests include health equity and social drivers of health.
