Dr. Starnes has contributed to peer-reviewed journals, including Pediatrics and the Journal of Medical Systems. His work has focused on global health research and pediatric cardiology. His research includes population-based health metrics in low-resource settings, the implementation of electronic medical records in global health, the evaluation of access to health in medical technology and outcomes, and longitudinal studies of community health.
