Kristen was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. She attended the University of Florida for her undergraduate education where she majored in Biology. During college, she explored different cultures by studying abroad in Italy and Morocco, and she played on the club softball team throughout her time at UF. She then came back home to Orlando to attend medical school at the University of Central Florida where Kristen quickly developed a passion for pediatric medicine and medical education.

Outside of medicine, Kristen enjoys spending time outdoors. She loves hiking, camping, and scuba diving. When it's time to head inside, you will probably find her curled up on the couch with her beagle-mix, Archie, and a good book.
