Medical School: University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston
College: University of Texas at Austin
Hometown: Waxahachie, TX

Anna was born in San Antonio, Texas and spent much of her childhood there prior to moving to Waxahachie, Texas where she spent her middle and high school years. She attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science and Arts in Biochemistry, a minor in Art History, and a Business Foundations Certificate. Throughout her undergraduate career, she began to foster her passion for teaching and mentorship through tutoring with the UT Athletics Department (Hook ‘Em!) and mentoring students at a local Austin high school. After spending five fun-filled years in Austin, Anna moved to Houston to begin studying at McGovern Medical School at UT Health Science Center. Throughout years of shadowing, clinical rotations, and a lifelong enjoyment of working with children, she decided to follow in her aunt’s footsteps and pursue a career in the field of pediatrics. She remains dedicated to teaching and mentorship, and plans to continue developing her interest in medical education.

Outside of medicine, Anna enjoys cooking, developing recipes, and hosting get-togethers with friends. She also loves spending time outdoors through running and picnics at the park.
