Kelsi Mellin, MD

PGY 2

Medical School: George Washington University School of Medicine
College: Vanderbilt University
Hometown: Upper Sandusky, Ohio

Kelsi grew up in a small, rural town in Northwest Ohio. Throughout childhood, she spent most weekends playing travel softball and/or doing competition cheerleading. In high school, Friday nights were filled with football games and bonfires with friends. Kelsi loved growing up in this quaint community, but she had big dreams for college and a future career as a pediatrician. She continued her education at Vanderbilt University where she also was a four-year member and captain of the cheerleading team. Kelsi met her husband, Ethan, during the first day of freshman year in their orientation group. They dated for seven years before getting married in the Spring of 2022. Kelsi, Ethan, and their goldendoodle, Lyla Mae, moved to Washington D.C. after college where she attended medical school at George Washington University and spent as much time as possible training at Children's National.

Outside of medicine, Kelsi loves to spend time with family and friends - whether that is taking Lyla to the dog park, making drinks while Ethan cooks, or hosting a board game night. She is a fierce lover of romance novels, all things babies, and football season. Kelsi and Ethan are so excited to be back "home" in Nashville as Kelsi continues her medical training at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
