Personal Interests: Reading (Dr. Plemmons, one of our hospitalists, organizes a monthly book club); taking my golden retriever, Basil, to every dog park in Nashville; taking myself to all the restaurants in Nashville; baking sourdough bread; pretending to garden; running; cycling; vacuuming Basil’s hair; and spending time with friends.

Why I Chose Vanderbilt: After spending 4 years at Vanderbilt for residency and chief year, I can say with certainty the people are why I stayed. PHM folks are wonderful everywhere, but particularly so at Vanderbilt. The hospital is beautiful, and the opportunity to utilize all the resources Vanderbilt has at its disposal (Department of Health Policy, The Quality Academy, Ben and Jerry’s) is bar none. Additionally, Nashville is truly a lovely city and all your friends will be clamoring to visit.
