Kaitlyn was born and raised in Winder, GA. She attended Mercer University in Macon, GA for her undergraduate degree and continued at Mercer in Savannah for medical school. She matched at the University of Tennessee - Chattanooga for residency and is thrilled to be staying in Tennessee for fellowship!

The strong academic and research support, combined with the welcoming faculty and fellows, helped her choose Vanderbilt for her pulmonology training. Kaitlyn is looking forward to exploring all the research opportunities Vanderbilt has to offer but is particularly interested in tracheostomy and ventilator dependent patients.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, finding new recipes for her pressure cooker/air fryer, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.
