Dr. Jordan Busing is originally from Madison, Alabama. He completed an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. Prior to his medical education, he served as a NASA engineer in the payloads division for the International Space Station. Dr. Busing earned his medical school degree at the University of Alabama, Birmingham and completed his Pediatrics residency here at Vanderbilt.

His professional interests include a wide array of esophageal pathology including eosinophilic esophagitis, gastroesophageal reflux, swallowing disorders, and aerodigestive disorders. Dr. Busing’s research interests involve investigation of the clinical differences in young children and adolescent patients with eosinophilic esophagitis, investigation of non-invasive tools for evaluation of esophageal function, and further understanding of how to manage pediatric patients with recurrent strictures. He enjoys spending time with his wife (also named Jordan!), son (Davy), and dog (Pepper), and he is a very loyal fan of Alabama Crimson Tide athletics.
