Dorianna was born and raised in Georgia before completing her undergraduate education at Georgia College & State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She went on to attend Mercer University School of Medicine before moving to Nashville to complete her pediatric residency at Vanderbilt. Dorianna’s professional interests include neonatal physiology, respiratory support of premature infants, medical education and clinical research, with a particular interest in the neonatal microbiome.

Outside of the hospital, she enjoys spending time with her husband, JC, their golden retriever, Draper and calico, Lara. She also enjoys exploring Nashville’s coffee shops and restaurants, staying active and spending quality time with friends and family.
