Devan was born and raised in Shelburne, Vermont. She attended Northeastern University in Boston, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. She attended EVMS for medical school prior to completing her pediatric residency at Vanderbilt. Devan's professional interests include perinatal counseling, BPD physiology and ECMO.

Outside of the hospital, Devan enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and dog. She has a love-hate relationship with running but can always be convinced to sign up for a half-marathon. She enjoys hiking, going to breweries and watching Formula 1.
