Min was born and raised in China. He earned both his MD (2007) and PhD (2012) from Chongqing Medical University. His doctoral research focused on the use of stem cells to repair hypoxic-ischemic brain injury. From 2012 to 2017, he completed postdoctoral training in the Department of Pathology at the University of Cincinnati, where he investigated regenerative therapies using stem cell-derived exosomes for myocardial infarction and therapeutic angiogenesis. After completing his postdoctoral training, he returned to China and worked as a neonatologist in the Department of Neonatology at the Children's Hospital of Soochow University. In 2022, he moved back to the United States and completed his pediatric residency training in New York.

Min has a strong passion for both scientific research and road trips. Together with his wife, he has traveled to 43 U.S. states by car. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their toddler son exploring the Nashville area. Once their little one is old enough to enjoy long journeys, they look forward to hitting the road again and embarking on a new series of family road trips.
