Research Information

Dr. Massa’s primary research focus has been investigating patient perceptions of genetic testing for the evaluation of pediatric obesity to understand how this impacts patient health care behaviors and, ultimately, patient care outcomes. In addition, Dr. Massa also serves as the Primary Investigator for Vanderbilt for the Clinical Adolescent PMOS Multi-site Database (CALICO) Project. This study was created to determine the prevalence and incidence of comorbidities in adolescents with PMOS and to determine risk factors for their development in this population in order to identify potential targets for early prevention.
