Rebecca grew up just south of Nashville in Franklin, Tennessee. She attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where she studied nutrition and developed a passion for community service. During her time in Knoxville, she had the opportunity to volunteer with the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, Knox County Health Department, and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Through serving these organizations, Rebecca found her passion and life's calling in pediatric medicine. After a short year back home in middle Tennessee serving as a medical scribe, Rebecca found herself returning to east Tennessee where she attended medical school at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City. Rebecca enjoys practicing yoga, listening to podcasts and audiobooks, traveling to new cities, and spending time outside with her husband, Wesley, and their two energetic dogs, Chloe and Jenna. She also collects Hatch Show prints from Nashville concerts and events! After many years away, she is excited to be back home in Nashville to continue her medical training at Vanderbilt. Rebecca is interested in pursuing a career in hospital medicine but is eager to explore the entire field of pediatrics during residency.
