Margaret grew up in Richmond, Virginia. She attended the University of Virginia, where she majored in Neuroscience and Psychology. She received her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and then went on to do her pediatric residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. 

She has an interest in simulation, and during residency, helped educate residents on crash carts and facilitated mock codes on the inpatient floors. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, attending dance workout classes and spending time outdoors.
