Past research has involved educational endeavors in culinary nutrition, such as the development of a nutrition elective for medical students. Her residency scholarly project entailed administering a culinary medicine class to pediatric residents. This class provided hands-on skills and practical knowledge about how to counsel patients and families on nutrition and diet. Pre- and post-class surveys indicated that residents were more likely to rate nutrition related counseling as important after completion of the class.
