Genesis was born in Los Angeles and moved to Houston during high school. Shortly after, Genesis became an Aggie and graduated from Texas A&M University with a major in Biology and a minor in History. Whoop! She moved back to Houston to attend medical school at the University of Texas health Science Center where she developed an interest in global health. She had the privilege of working in global health initiatives in Ghana and Honduras. She moved to Music City to complete her Pediatric residency and was able to work in NICUs across Colombia. She's excited to keep calling Nashville home as she completes her Neonatology fellowship and global health research projects. In her free time, Genesis enjoys latin dancing, volleyball, hikes at Percy Warner, and exploring Nashville's amazing food scene.
