Caitlin grew up in Colorado Springs and then attended the University of Notre Dame where she majored in biology. She moved around the country after college including Portland, Denver, and Boston to continue her education, earning a Master of Medical Sciences at Boston University. She chose to become a Creighton University Blue Jay for medical school in Omaha, Nebraska. She completed her pediatric residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Her research interests are in medical education and medical ethics. Outside of work, she enjoys live music, and spending time outdoors.
