Medical School: University of Washington School of Medicine
College: Gonzaga University
Hometown: Tacoma, Washington

Brian was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, growing up in Tacoma, Washington and attending Gonzaga University in Spokane. While at Gonzaga, he studied biology and philosophy in the GU Honors Program, cheered on the Zags basketball team, and most importantly, met his wife, Amanda. After undergrad, Brian moved to Seattle to complete his medical degree at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Throughout his life, Brian's own experience with Crohn's disease has led him to be passionate about IBD care for children, especially through Camp Oasis.

Outside of medicine, he loves to run, cheer on the Zags, Mariners, and Seahawks, and play with his black lab, Boone. After 26 years in the "Upper Left" of the U.S. map, Brian is excited to see what Tennessee is all about.
